At Radar Hill Technology, our business is technology, but our heart is in the community we serve. Our team is more than just a group of web builders; we are neighbours, friends, and family. We believe in lifting each other up, especially when facing life's toughest challenges. It is this shared belief that brought us to gether to support a cause very close to our hearts: the fight against MPS.
Our own Dan, a key member of the Radar Hill team, understands the daily struggles of a child's health issues all too well. His son, who is non-verbal and has an intellectual disability with epilepsy, goes to school with the Hoskins children, one of whom is Simon. Simon has MPS, the rare progressive genetic disease caused by missing or malfunctioning enzymes that break down molecules called glycosaminoglycans. Over time, the glycosaminoglycans collect in the cells resulting in permanent, progressive cellular damage. Dan has seen firsthand the strength and resilience of Simon and his family, and his heart goes out to them. He knows the worry and angst that comes with every appointment, every treatment, and every step of an uncertain journey.
When our client, Kirby's Sports, hosted a fundraiser to support the Hoskins family, we knew we had to be there. The event was a testament to the incredible support system that surrounds families like Simon's. Owner Sean Tackaberry was instrumental in making the fundraiser happen and Dan was there to offer his support and capture the moment, including the presentation of a comically large cheque—a symbol of the community's big heart and commitment.

Simon's story, as shared on the https://curemps.ca/our-story/ page, is a powerful reminder of the importance of community and the unwavering hope that drives families to find a cure. Their journey with MPS (also known as Morquio Syndrome), from the initial diagnosis to the challenges of treatment and the ongoing search for a permanent cure like gene therapy, is a story of incredible courage.
We are proud to stand with the Hoskins family and support their mission. We are also grateful for clients like Kirby's Sports, who use their platform to make a meaningful difference. The money raised at this event will help to fund vital research and provide hope for a future where families no longer have to face these struggles alone.
We invite you to learn more about their story and support their journey.
