Dogs are my favourite people!

For a small, trusted circle of clients, Andrea steps in as a guardian, a playmate, and a temporary best friend to a variety of dogs. On any given week, Andrea might be hosting a boisterous Labrador who believes all play is wrestling, followed by a shy, tiny Terrier who only feels safe under a blanket fort. Some arrivals are friendly and familiar, trotting in with a wagging tail and a known routine. Others present more complex personalities: the "basket cases" who require patience to coax out of their shell, or those who come with specific health concerns requiring scheduled medication or a sensitive diet.

Andrea gives them all the love they can take and never has to worry about anything becoming a permanent issue in her life. Andrea experiences all the benefits of canine companionship—the daily walks, the cozy presence on the sofa, the laugh-out-loud antics—without the associated long-term commitments. This arrangement allows her to maintain a high degree of personal and professional flexibility. She never has to worry about coordinating dog care for her own vacation, nor does she face the decades-long emotional weight of managing an animal’s entire life span.

The most significant advantage, as Andrea often notes, is the absence of lifetime financial obligations. While she provides excellent day-to-day care, she never has to worry about unexpected, debilitating vet bills. That catastrophic emergency surgery, the chronic condition requiring expensive medication—these are responsibilities that remain, with the dog’s permanent owner.

In essence, Andrea's dog sitting is the best of both worlds. She steers clear of unexpected vet bills and collects happy memories with a refreshing cycle of meeting a new dog, earning their trust, showering them with love, and then watching them happily trot back home.
