Esquimalt Nation partnered with us to overhaul a fragmented web presence that no longer reflected the spirit or functionality their community needed. The existing website lacked mobile responsiveness, intuitive navigation, and visual storytelling—making it difficult for Nation members to access critical information and stay connected to programs, projects, and cultural resources.
Through collaborative planning and cultural sensitivity, we developed a custom-built website that empowers staff to communicate directly with members while showcasing the Nation’s values, history, and initiatives. The new site blends clean design, technical clarity, and subtle animation with the thoughtful integration of traditional imagery and identity.

Pyramid CMS Implementation

A structured repository enables easy access to documents, community plans, and newsletters. -
Custom Features
Included a searchable resource database, events calendar, blog system, newsletter archive, and digital/paper feedback forms. -
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Titles, slugs, and metadata were optimized for visibility, with Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools set up for tracking. -

Results
The new Esquimalt Nation website is now a cultural and functional anchor allowing members to access news, opportunities, and community initiatives with ease. Its mobile-friendly layout, clean design, and intuitive navigation reflect the professionalism and care behind every Nation service. Traditional design motifs, historical photography, and subtle animations lend emotional resonance and authenticity. Behind the scenes, staff can confidently manage the site themselves, thanks to an intuitive and secure content management system.
The result is a platform that blends clarity, culture, and control grounded in respect for tradition and built to support future growth.
Working with the team at Radar Hill was a truly collaborative and respectful experience. From the beginning, they demonstrated a deep understanding of our community’s needs, not just technical requirements, but cultural ones as well. They took great care in preserving the integrity of our logo, integrating traditional imagery, and creating a website that genuinely reflects who we are as a Nation. The new site has become a central hub for our members, offering easy access to resources, events, and projects, all within a clean and modern design.
