BC Colleges

BC Colleges serve people and communities from all walks of life with a diverse range of programs - from adult education through to career, technical, trade, university transfer and applied baccalaureate programs. Their programs provide relevant opportunities and pathways to employment or further education. Their team came to us with the idea to simplify their homepage to focus on the colleges and why students should study in BC. 

Situation: This outdated website was heavy on content and lacked clear messaging. The target audience was neglected through the sheer volume of material and reading that a visitor was forced to do. An automated blog posting plugin was broken and a multi-tier members-only section was difficult to administrate and use.

Solution: We redesigned the website to be fully optimized to function properly on smartphones and desktops. A custom map showcases BC member colleges. A moving “quick facts” feature displays key statistics on a random rolling basis about the benefits of BC Colleges throughout the site. There is also a fully optimized members-only area to allow access to resources and announcements to a multi-tier user list.
