The Floating Fish Store
Take advantage of living on an island and visit the Floating Fish Store on Fisherman’s Wharf. They are a licensed processing plant and restaurant, and so serve some of the freshest seafood around. Twelve feet of dock, that’s as far as their Dungeness crabs ever travel. When it comes to local species such as salmon, halibut, snapper, albacore tuna, and spot prawns it is not uncommon to see a fishing boat tied up in front of the store as the fishermen carry their catch into it.

Sam’s Deli
Founded in 1972 by Sam Bawlf, Sam’s Deli has been providing Victorians and tourists alike with fresh delicious sandwiches for decades. Now owned by Kate Phoenix, who had been a fan of Sam’s for years, she is dedicated to maintaining what has made the deli so well known. Whether it is a shrimp and avocado sandwich, turkey bacon club, or Montreal smoked meat, they will make your sandwich to your specifications, right before your eyes. Julie King Landscape Artist
Since 2002 Julie King is a Vancouver Island artist working in acrylic and watercolour. Her highly textured landscape paintings are inspired by the mountains and west coast of Beautiful British Columbia.
