Bernard LeBlanc Cabinet Maker

The Story

Bernard LeBlanc is an artisanal cabinet maker and woodworker on Saltspring Island. He services customers on the Gulf Islands, Vancouver Island and Greater Vancouver. Bernards hand-made woodwork is distinctively contemporary and he works with local, sustainable woods. His new website showcases some of his beautiful custom work, including; doors, staircases, urns, tables, mantelpieces, tables, shelves and more.

Bernard has worked with wood all his life, including working as a museum furniture curator. He takes great pride and care in his work and develops high quality pieces that are designed and crafted to fulfill their function with beauty.

We had the pleasure of working with Bernard and his wife Laura to create a website to showcase his fine woodworking. Bernard spent years working for small and large furniture makers before finally retiring to Saltspring Island. During the last couple of years Bernard has been accepting a few commissions here and there on the island while he has been getting his shop set up. Now that everything is in order, Bernard has committed himself full time to his craft and this involves getting the word out on the Internet.

After meeting Bernard and seeing his work, we felt his website should match the professionalism with which Bernard approaches his work. Since Bernard wants to spend his days woodworking he wanted his website to promote his excellent craftsmanship for him. Of utmost importance are images of the beautiful chairs, tables, desks, staircases and hand carving that Bernard does. Congratulations Bernard!
