Society of Saint Vincent de Paul

SVDP home page displaying on multiple devices

The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul of Vancouver Island is a registered charity under the British Columbia Society Act. It has a large portfolio of properties and programs up and down Vancouver Island devoted to their charity work. The primary goal and purpose of the Society, its members, staff, volunteers, and benefactors is to serve all the poor, making no distinctions of creed, ethnic or social background, health, gender, or political opinions. Its large administrative network of employees and volunteers required an extensive website to smoothly carry out their day to day operations and Radar Hill was brought on to assist in organizing an online display to accomplish their goals.

Situation: A messy navigation on their old site, making it difficult to find information about the SVDP, and how to donate. There were sub-sections with different designs, inconsistent with the overall look. The members-only area was confusing to members and difficult to administrate.

Solution: We cleaned up the navigation to make it easier to navigate the website and find information. There is a focus on making it easy to “donate” or to “get assistance”. The custom map displays thrift stores and office locations in a smooth design. There is also a members-only area to access documents and reports.
