Description:  

HomePort is a data extraction and delivery system for viewing active listings on both Palm OS and Microsoft Pocket PC (windows) based hand held devices.  In its final form, the listing information is organized into 8 pre-assembled summaries: new listings, new prices, new sales, MLS® number, district, price range, street name, and district and class.  The user interface for both operating systems is a browser so the "point and click" rules of website use apply here.

Using HomePort:

Features

• The Windows Pocket PC or the Palm browsers allow simple navigation using the stylus pointer.
• A contact roster is included for convenient access to phone and fax numbers for the current VREB list of Realtors.
• Entire active listings database is updated daily.
• Pending listings include an extra field, Selling Agent (SA)
• "New Listings" include all of the listings posted on the day indicated on the start page.
• The "New Sales" list includes four calculated values for each map area - Average Sale Price Vs Original Price (SP/OP), Average Sale Price Vs Last Price (SP/LP), Average Sale Price Vs Assessed Value (SP/AV), and Average Days on Market
• "District and Class" searches enable users to watch a neighbourhood and a particular class of property: Single Family Dwelling (SFD), Condo / Townhouse (C/T), Building Lots (LOTS), and Manufactured Homes (MAN)
